The following points should be considered when purchasing a suspension lift kit :

Height of the Lift: Will you be playing in the mud, driving over boulders or just want an bolder lifted stance when driving around town? If you live in a flood or hurricane prone area a little lift makes a lot of sense.

Lift the Front, Back or Both: You can purchase inexpensive lift kits to simply lift the rear of your truck or more expensive kits to lift the front and back different heights. Can You Use Stock Wheels and Tires: Some of the more expensive truck lift kits depending on height of lift will require you to change out your stock tires and wheels adding to the cost of the project.

Are Shocks Included: Does the truck lift kit provide performance shocks to support the desired lift and performance? Some kits require you to upgrade to a performance shock adding to your cost of the lift.

Basic Vehicle Modifications: Some truck lift kits require you to extend your steering column, lift your bumpers, lower your fan shroud and connected parts to prevent overheating. Some may require exhaust modifications and some welding and/or cutting may be necessary.

3″ Body Lift Kit – An Affordable Alternative from Performance Accessories
A body lift kit is a 1.5  to 3 inch lift kit that only lifts the body of your truck or SUV from the frame.  This is a relativity inexpensive lift kit consisting of components that are protective coated blocks and or spacers.

Keep in mind a body lift kit places blocks between the body and frame and does not lift the frame of the vehicle higher. Therefore a body lift kit is not a first choice for off-roaders as it will not give you more ground clearance for this purpose.  However most body lift kits depending on your truck make and model will enable you to install larger tires because you gain more height in the wheel wells.

Be sure to inquire if the body lift kit includes or if you will need to purchase additional parts, such as a steering extension or other accessories like gap guards.

Very nice truck lift kit and it can make your truck look more like a 4×4 and you can probably add bigger tires you will additional clearance.

I suggest you pickup the gap guards because the frame will show more than it normally does and looking under the bed and seeing a 3″ gap is not pretty. Optional Gap Guards are already included in the Master Body Lift Kits. wheel.

You can do this one yourself but you”ll need a pair of extra hands to help you out and about a full day for installation.
